United Nation’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) represent a call for action by all countries to preserve the climate of the planet.  With the data center industry on the trajectory to consume 1/5 of our planet’s power in 2025, taking up to 3,5% of global CO2 emissions, immediate action is required to redirect the data center industry towards a climate-positive future.

Danish Data Center Industry is teaming up with UNEP-DTU Partnership to once again bring the discussion of sustainable data centers to the table at our annual conference “Data Centers Denmark 2020”.

The conference is set to gather the industry together with energy utilities, universities, research institutions and policy makers to discuss the latest energy efficient innovations and approaches from the industry.

What does it take to mitigate this growth? How can the data center industry move from being consumers of energy to becoming energy prosumers? Topics for this year will focus on how we can integrate the data center into our energy networks, whilst applying future-thinking technologies for ultimate efficiency.

Join us in May at the UN City in Copenhagen and let us hear your take on how we together can rethink the data center in the SDG era.
